In Turkey, the suspect in terrorism was arrested in Istanbul's Istiklal Avenue.
The Minister of Internal Affairs of the country, Suleiman Soylu, stated, "Our assessment is as follows. The deadly terrorist attack was ordered from Ain al-Arab in northern Syria, where the Kurdish Workers' Party (YPG) headquarters is located.
He confirmed that eight people were killed and 81 injured due to the attack. According to him, 50 victims have been discharged from hospitals; five are in intensive care units. He also added that two victims were in critical condition. He noted that 21 people were detained before the arrest of the suspect.
According to the minister, "It is obvious that our so-called allies, who are considered friends, are not sincere and either hide terrorists in their country or feed terrorists in their occupied territories and send them money from their senates. Turkey will soon take retaliatory measures about terrorism."
