Israel's former prime minister called for unity against Netanyahu

Defeated in the Israeli elections, Prime Minister Yair Lapid called on the opposition to gather against the new government to be formed by Benjamin Netanyahu.

In Israel's November 1 elections, far-right and ultra-Orthodox parties led by Netanyahu won a majority (64 seats) that can form a government in the Israeli parliament.

The alliance of 7 parties, led by Prime Minister Yair Lapid, is in opposition.
