Shoigu ordered to move of troops from the Kherson region to the left bank of the Dnieper

The Minister of Defense of the Russian Federation Sergey Shoigu Sergey Shoigu agreed to the proposal of the General of the Russian Armed Forces Sergey Surovikin to withdraw the troops and equipment from the Kherson region and neighboring areas to the left bank of the Dnieper.

"It is expedient to organize defense along the border of the barrier of the Dnieper river, along its left bank. The decision is not easy, but at the same time we will preserve the lives of our soldiers and the combat capability of the troop group," said Surovkin.

According to Surovkin, street battles are currently taking place in the eastern suburbs of Artemovsk.

The Minister of Defense agreed to Surovikin's proposal. "Initiate the withdrawal of troops and take all measures to ensure the safe transfer of personnel, weapons and equipment across the Dnieper River," he said.
