Russia and the United States plan to discuss resuming inspections of nuclear weapons facilities under a new strategic offensive arms treaty. Bloomberg writes about it, citing the US State Department and anonymous sources in Moscow.
The relevant negotiations were suspended in February 2022 after Russia invaded Ukraine.
The official representative of the Ministry of State confirmed the information about the preparation of the meeting of the bilateral advisory commission but refused to specify the date and place of its holding, noting only that it will not be held in Geneva.
According to Bloomberg's Moscow sources, the meeting may take place in Cairo in the coming weeks.
