Eastern Europe is preparing for a new wave of Ukrainian refugees

Eastern European countries are preparing to reopen reception centers and replenish food stocks in anticipation of a possible increase in Ukrainian refugees.

The number of refugees is expected to increase this winter as Russia targets Ukraine's power grids and heating plants.

It is estimated that there are about 6.9 million people in Ukraine who live in very difficult conditions. The Slovak government, for example, is planning an emergency plan to prepare for an influx of hundreds of thousands of Ukrainian refugees.
