The World Meteorological Organization's "State of the Global Climate in 2022" report stated that the past eight years had been the warmest.
The increasing concentration of greenhouse gases in the atmosphere contributed to the increase in global air temperature. Extreme heat, drought, and devastating floods have affected millions and caused billions of dollars in damage this year.
The report says that the effects of climate change are becoming more dramatic.
