Turkmenistan wants to export gas to Europe via Azerbaijan and Georgia

"Turkmenia hopes to build a gas pipeline through the Caspian Sea to Europe. The Trans-Caspian project is not removed from the plan," Turkmen Deputy Prime Minister Shahim Abdrakhmanov said at the ADIPEC conference. He explained that the project involves the construction of a gas pipeline through the territory of Azerbaijan to Georgia and then to the countries of Eastern Europe.

The potential reserves of Turkmenistan are 71.2 billion tons of oil equivalent, of which 53 billion tons are on land, and 18.2 billion tons are in the sea. More than 190 oil and gas deposits have been discovered.

The reserves of the largest "Galkinish" mine with related structures are estimated at 27.4 trillion m3 of gas.
