"I advise you to remember the fate of Sadat," Zatulin recalled the assassination of the Egyptian president

Konstantin Zatulin, a deputy of the Russian State Duma, stated at the "Lazarevyan" club meeting that the "Washington version" of the negotiations between Armenia and Azerbaijan is similar to the Camp David negotiations between Israel and Egypt. "I advise those people in Armenia who go to such a deal ("Camp Davidian") to remember how it ended for them, for example, Sadat," Zatulin said.
Egyptian President Anwar Saadat's signing of the Camp David agreements and peace with Israel in 1978 led to his assassination by Islamist extremists.
