The Ministry of Defense of Syria announced that, on Thursday, October 27, Israel carried out several airstrikes on the suburbs of Damascus.
The air defense system intercepted several missiles. The Israeli rocket fire caused material damage, but the Ministry of Defense did not elaborate.
An AFP correspondent in Syria confirmed that explosions were heard in the capital on Thursday night. According to the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights (a UK-based human rights organization), the strikes were conducted near Damascus International Airport.
