The members of Congress withdrew the letter addressed to Biden about the negotiations with Russia

A group of liberal Democratic congressmen in the US Congress, led by Pramila Jayapal, retracted a letter to US President Joe Biden calling for direct talks with Russia to end the war in Ukraine.
"The letter was written several months ago, but unfortunately, the staff published it without verification. As the president of the faction, I take responsibility for this,” Jayapal clarified in a written statement issued on Tuesday, October 25.
