Germany intends to classify cannabis as a drug no longer

On Wednesday, the DPA agency reported that the German government has decided on the critical points of the cannabis legalization bill in Germany. In particular, cannabis and its active ingredient, tetrahydrocannabinol, should no longer be legally classified as narcotics.

German residents will now be allowed to buy up to 30 grams of marijuana and grow limited amounts of cannabis for personal use at home for "pleasure purposes."

In addition, it is planned to allow the sale of marijuana to adults in licensed specialty stores and possibly pharmacies. It is not clear whether it will be implemented or not.
