Will Europe buy Russian gas through Turkey?

The Czech Republic expects that Europe will not buy Russian gas through the "gas hub" of Turkey. In an interview with the Turkish Dünya newspaper, the Minister of Industry and Trade of the Czech Republic, Josef Sikela, said that serious discussions were held in Europe about gas and oil. According to him, the supply and import of Russian gas is a big problem for Europe.

Earlier, Russian President Vladimir Putin announced that Russia could transfer gas transit from the Northern Stream to the Black Sea region and Turkey. The Russian leader discussed this idea with the Turkish president.

It was ordered to work out the issue thoroughly and quickly. The Kremlin stated that the initiative to create a gas hub in Turkey is in the interests of Moscow and Ankara. Turkish President Tayyip Erdogan announced earlier that Europe could use Russian gas through the territory of Turkey.
