"Russian-Iranian cooperation is a global challenge." Prime Minister of Israel

Israeli Prime Minister Yair Lapid warned yesterday that cooperation between Russia and Iran is "a serious problem not only for Israel but also for Ukraine, Europe, and the whole world."

In an interview with the Russian-language "RTVi" TV channel, Lapid said: "Iran is a dangerous terrorist state, and the fact that Russia does business with it puts the whole world at risk."

The Israeli prime minister also criticized Russian forces' use of Iranian-made military drones in Ukraine but explained that Tel Aviv would not provide direct military aid to Kyiv.

"Israel's international relations are a complex issue. I must take care of both Israel and our national security to see that our interests are respected and thereby make it clear that we support Ukraine," said Lapid.
