The CSTO will consider proposals to assist Yerevan through joint means

The official representative of the Russian Foreign Ministry, Maria Zakharova, announced that at the extraordinary session of the CSTO Council, the leaders of the member states would discuss the results of the CSTO mission in Armenia and the provision of aid to Yerevan.

According to her: "Currently, the issue of holding another session of the CSTO shortly is being worked out. It is assumed that during the upcoming session, the leaders of the member states will discuss the results of the CSTO mission's work and the proposals to assist Yerevan through joint means via video conference.

Zakharova added that the CSTO Secretariat and the Russian Foreign Ministry would provide official information about the decisions.

Zakharova did not specify precisely what kind of aid we were talking about. "That issue should be agreed upon and a decision taken collegially."
