The head of EU diplomacy, Josep Borrell, announced that the EU plans to train at least 15,000 Ukrainian soldiers as part of a training mission for Ukraine's armed forces on Monday.
"To begin with, we want to train 15,000 Ukrainian soldiers," Borel said after the meeting of EU foreign ministers in Luxembourg. He confirmed that the mandate of the mission is two years. Borel emphasized that assistance to Ukraine is the main priority of the EU's foreign policy.
