"The status of Zangezur Corridor should be equivalent to Lachin Corridor." Cavusoglu

"After the Karabakh war, Azerbaijan offered Armenia to sign a comprehensive peace agreement, to which Armenia responded positively, albeit late. Azerbaijan has reasonable demands, among which the status of the Zangezur Corridor is equivalent to the Lachin Corridor," said Turkish Foreign Minister Mevlut Cavusoglu during the press conference held after the extraordinary meeting of the Council of Foreign Ministers of the Organization of Turkic States.

According to Cavusoglu, normalizing relations between Azerbaijan and Armenia positively affects Armenian-Turkish ties.

The Minister of Foreign Affairs of Turkey also referred to the possibility of a meeting with the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Armenia, Ararat Mirzoyan. "We are always ready for a meeting. Such a meeting took place in Antalya during the diplomatic forum. There are no problems for us, but there is no information about specific dates at the moment," Cavusoglu said.
