On Monday, the foreign ministers of 27 EU countries will hold a planned meeting in Luxembourg. Military operations in Ukraine will be at the core of the plan. In addition, the ministers are expected to give the "green light" to another mission to help resolve the problems on the Azerbaijani-Armenian border.
"On October 6, a week ago, at the meeting of the leaders of Armenia, Azerbaijan, France, and the President of the European Council, an agreement was reached on creating a mission. It is expected that the ministers will approve it on Monday," the EU representative said.
The diplomat does not have the details of the mission yet. "I can only say that about 400 observers will be deployed in the first phase. The first observers will be sent to the border of the two countries from the EU mission in Georgia. We are taking the staff from our mission in Georgia because of the problem's urgency," the EU diplomat explained. The Russian "TASS" agency reported this.
