Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov, opening the tripartite meeting of the foreign ministers of Russia, Azerbaijan and Armenia, said. "Because time is moving fast, things are moving fast; I think today is an opportune time to communicate on that topic and see what we can report back to our leaders on implementing the agreements they signed."
Continuing Lavrov's thought, Azerbaijani Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov emphasized that they will primarily focus on the post-conflict settlement, for which the foreign ministers are responsible, including the peace treaty issue. "It seems to me that from this point of view, it would be helpful to discuss the problems and the development that took place during this period. At least from our side, we will pay special attention to the dimension of post-conflict settlement, for which the foreign ministers are directly responsible. These are the peace treaty issues on which we recently had a meeting."
For his part, RA Minister of Foreign Affairs Ararat Mirzoyan referred to the perspective of the settlement of Armenian-Azerbaijani relations, noting that "Such meetings are a good opportunity for the settlement of relations between Armenia and Azerbaijan in all aspects, as well as for finding solutions for the settlement of the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict according to the tripartite statements of the presidents of the three countries.".
