Iran will conduct large-scale military exercises on the border with Azerbaijan

"Mehr" agency reported that Brigadier General Mohammad Pakpour, commander of the Ground Forces of Iran's Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC), has announced extensive military exercises in the country's north.

"In the coming days, in the northern borders of the country, in the Aras region (East Azerbaijan province), on the base of the IRPC "Ashura" regional command, large-scale exercises of the IRPC ground troops will take place under the name "Ekhtedar" ("strength")," said the Iranian military commander.

"Conducting large-scale exercises corresponds to the fulfillment of the tasks of the annual plan aimed at increasing the combat capability of the IRPC ground troops," noted General Pakpour.
