Moscow authorities filed a lawsuit against Vagit Alekperov, president and co-owner of Lukoil, a Russian oligarch, Azerbaijani by nationality. The reason is the penthouse's expansion on the building's roof.
The businessman, who ranks 5th among the wealthiest citizens of Russia, has started construction on the roof of a multi-story building in the center of the capital. The authorities demanded to stop the planned expansion of the residential area.
The Department of Municipal Property of Moscow reported that the construction in the upper part of the building poses a danger to pedestrians.
