Iran is ramping up uranium enrichment

OnOctober 11, referring to the report of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA), the Reuters agency reported that against international efforts to restore the nuclear deal, Iran accelerates uranium enrichment. In addition to the 12 centrifuges already planned, three more cascades will be launched at the Netenz underground facility.

Cascades and interconnected centrifuges allow increasing the concentration of uranium isotopes suitable for the production of nuclear weapons. The 2015 international nuclear deal between Iran and the West was designed to prevent Iran from developing nuclear weapons.
