On October 10, the German Federal Statistical Office reported that almost one million Ukrainian refugees have arrived in Germany since the Russian armed invasion of Ukraine began. The statisticians' data covers the period from the end of February to August.
Statistics show that in August of this year, Ukraine was the leading country from which refugees arrived in Germany. Romania is in second place. At the same time, the statistical bodies registered about 78 thousand cases of returning to Ukraine. It means that from February to August 2022, the net migration from Ukraine to Germany was 874 thousand people.
