The President of Azerbaijan, Ilham Aliyev, wrote on his Twitter microblog "It is incomprehensible that they did not give us voluntary passage to Nakhichevan. Of course, breaching an obligation is extremely shameful. However, we are still patient and reserved. I am sure we will achieve it; it would be good if it happened sooner."
