"For the first time since the Cuban Missile Crisis, we have a direct threat of using nuclear weapons if things continue in the same spirit," Biden said in New York.
According to Biden, Putin "isn't kidding when he talks about the possible use of tactical nuclear weapons, biological or chemical weapons, because his military is, arguably, significantly behind."
Biden noted that they are looking for a diplomatic solution in Washington. "We are trying to understand what solution is needed for Putin. Where he can find himself in such a situation that he not only does not lose face but also does not lose Russia's significant power", said the head of the White House.
