As a result of the presidential elections in Brazil, neither the current president of the country, Jair Bolsonaro, nor the former leader, Luiz Inacio Lula da Silva, won more than half of the votes. The Supreme Electoral Court of Brazil reported this on October 3. Both candidates went to the second round of the elections, which will be held on October 30.
With 99.7% of the records processed, Lula da Silva won 48.42% of the vote and Bolsonaro 43.2%.
