Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan, speaking in Ankara on Saturday at the opening of the autumn session of the 27th Convocation Parliament of Turkey, touched on the topic of tension in the Aegean and Mediterranean Seas.
"The encouragement of the US to deploy weapons on the Greek islands is contrary to the spirit of the alliance with Turkey. The course of provocations and tensions will not bring anything good to any of the countries," warned the head of Turkey, whose words were quoted by Anadolu.
According to him, Ankara knows who is pushing Athens to provocations.
The President of Turkey also referred to the situation in the South Caucasus. Erdogan emphasized that Armenia should take advantage of the opportunity to establish long-term peace in the region.
