Ankara is ready to become a mediator in the negotiations between Russia and Ukraine

President Russia and Turkey Vladimir Putin and Recep Tayyip Erdogan had a telephone conversation. As the TASS agency reports, the parties discussed the situation in Ukraine.

Erdogan said in a conversation with Putin that Ankara is ready to become a mediator in the Ukraine issue. "I think it is necessary to give another chance to the negotiations," he said.

Putin informed Erdogan about the results of the referendums held in the Donbas, Kherson, and Zaporizhia regions. The leader of the Russian Federation assessed the unprecedented sabotage in the "North Stream," describing it as international terrorism.

Putin expressed his gratitude to Erdogan for his contribution to reaching agreements on grain and Russian food exports.
