The mobilization and flight of Russians could collapse the economy

Within seven days of Russian President Putin declaring "partial mobilization," there has been a significant outflow of Russians trying to avoid conscription. Although the exact numbers are unknown, they probably exceeded the number of the Russian army in February 2022, at the beginning of the war.

It is worth noting that those who try to leave Russia are mainly from the middle class with promising professions and education.

Considering the presence of reservists subject to mobilization, the reduction of the labor force in the country, and the "brain drain," this partial mobilization will have a heavy impact on the Russian economy.
