At the press conference in New York, Foreign Minister Pekka Haavisto announced, "Finland is preparing to introduce a complete ban on the entry of Russian citizens into the country."
He noted that today, September 21, Helsinki has decided to start preparing a national decision on how to limit or completely prevent "this tourist flow."
The Minister of Foreign Affairs also noted that the work has already started; it is being carried out by experts from different ministries under the leadership of the Foreign Ministry.
"Finland does not want to be a transit country, even for Russians with Schengen visas issued by other countries, and now we want to take this traffic under control," the minister concluded.
