Borel expressed concern about the tension on the Armenian-Azerbaijani border

Azerbaijani Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov spoke with EU High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy Josep Borel.
The parties discussed the situation in the region and the tension on the border with Armenia.
Borel expressed his concern regarding the tension and noted that it is essential to continue negotiations with the leaders of Azerbaijan and Armenia, with the mediation of the head of the European Council.
During the conversation, it was mentioned that Toivo Klaar, the EU's special representative in the South Caucasus, intends to visit the region on September 14.
