The Council of Succession officially declared Charles III the monarch of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland.
The ceremony took place at St. James's Palace in London.
On September 8, Queen Elizabeth II of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland died at 96.
