Buckingham Palace announced that the funeral of Queen Elizabeth II would take place on September 19. The Queen will be buried in her father, George VI's memorial complex, which is part of St George's Chapel on the grounds of Windsor Castle.
The memorial chapel was built in 1969, 17 years after the king's death; his remains were moved there. The mother of Queen Elizabeth II and her sister( Princess Margaret) were buried there.
Remember that Queen Elizabeth II died on September 8 at 96. He ruled the country for 70 years. His son Charles became the new king.
