The memoirs of former German Chancellor Angela Merkel will be published in the fall of 2024. This was announced by Kiepenheuer & Witsch publishing house.
68-year-old Merkel is writing a political memoir with her longtime assistant, former chancellor bureau chief Beate Baumann. "I am happy to analyze the central decisions and situations arising in my political work in the book written with Beata Bauman, as well as to explain them to the general public, referring to my personal history," the former head of the government was quoted as saying by the publishing house.
