Bayramov and Donfried talked about the issue of relations between Azerbaijan and Armenia
Azerbaijani Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov and US Deputy Secretary of State for European and Eurasian Affairs Karen Donfried discussed efforts to normalize relations between Azerbaijan and Armenia during a telephone conversation held on Monday. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Azerbaijan notes that Bayramov and Donfried also discussed bilateral processes.
"During the conversation, Bayramov stated that Azerbaijan is ready to fulfill the agreements on the preparation of a draft peace treaty by the Foreign Ministers of Azerbaijan and Armenia, decided on August 31 in Brussels during the meeting of the President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev, the President of the European Council Charles Michel and the Prime Minister of Armenia Nikol Pashinyan.
Bayramov added that Azerbaijan is taking consistent steps to advance the peace agenda. The parties have agreed to continue bilateral contacts," the MFA emphasizes.
