The supply of gas from Russia to Germany through the "North Stream" pipeline was wholly suspended on the morning of August 31. This was announced by the gas pipeline operator, "Nord Stream AG."
Earlier, the Russian concern "Gazprom" warned that the only working unit of pressure at the "Portovaya" compression station would be stopped from August 31 to September 2 for maintenance and planned repair work.
