Germany supplied 686 million euros worth of military equipment to Ukraine

The German government has approved the supply of almost 5.1 billion euros worth of military equipment to Ukraine this year. Moreover, Ukraine has already received approximately 686 million euros worth of ammunition. This is stated in the arms export report, which the German Ministry of Economy presented on Wednesday.

Ukraine has become the most important recipient of German weapons among the so-called "third countries" - non-NATO and non-partner states. Australia, Switzerland, and New Zealand are among those countries. In the current year, Ukraine accounts for 56% of the export of military goods from Germany to "third countries."

In the same period last year, Germany exported 2.9 billion euros worth of weapons.
