The US calls on Armenia and Azerbaijan to intensify diplomatic cooperation for a comprehensive peace agreement

In a briefing with journalists, Vedant Patel, the deputy spokesperson of the US State Department, stated that the United States called on Armenia and Azerbaijan to intensify diplomatic cooperation for a comprehensive peace agreement.
Regarding what the State Department expects from the meeting between Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan and Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev in Brussels on August 31, Patel specifically said: "I can only confirm what we said before. The United States remains committed to promoting a safe, stable, democratic, prosperous, and peaceful future for the South Caucasus region. We call on Armenia and Azerbaijan to intensify their diplomatic engagement and reach a comprehensive peace agreement."
