The US authorities intend to provide about 1.5 billion dollars in military aid to Ukraine by the end of the fiscal year (September 30). That's the rest of the money approved by the US Congress. This was reported by "Politico" newspaper citing its sources.
The $6 billion aid is part of a larger package of $40 billion, which includes not only military but also economic and humanitarian aid to Kyiv. In addition, the bill has a provision to help the Baltic states, as the newspaper writes, "to replenish their arsenals."
Later this month, the State Department will send Congress a $150 million spending plan to bolster security in the Baltic states.
