MFA of Azerbaijan to Blinken. The US is far from the post-conflict realities in the region

"The US Secretary of State Anthony Blinken's statement on the appointment of Philip Ricker to the position of senior adviser on negotiations in the Caucasus shows his approach to being far from the post-conflict realities in the region, which is surprising." Leila Abdulaeva, the spokesperson of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Azerbaijan, informed the journalists about this.

"Azerbaijan's position regarding the Minsk Group has been repeatedly expressed and recorded at the highest level. Attempts to "revive" the almost defunct Minsk Group may lead to the removal of the US from the process of regulating Azerbaijani-Armenian relations. The Karabakh conflict has been settled, and Karabakh is an inseparable part of Azerbaijan. The international community, including our partners, should understand that linking the negotiations on the settlement of Azerbaijani-Armenian relations with the Karabakh issue does not serve the settlement in any way," said Abdulaeva.
