Scholz promised Putin that Ukraine would not join NATO for 30 years. Die Welt

German newspaper Die Welt published an article in which it is reported that German Chancellor Olaf Scholz assured Russian President Vladimir Putin before the start of the Russian-Ukrainian war that Ukraine's membership in NATO would not happen in the next 30 years.
Scholz denied the accusations that NATO countries did not protect Russia's security interests. "NATO has never presented a threat to Russia," the periodical quoted Sholtz.
