Training exercises were held in Turkey in case of a possible accident of the Metsamor NPP
Ermenihaber. am reported that training exercises were held in Turkey in case of a possible accident at the Metsamor Nuclear Power Plant (NPP).
According to Turkey's state "Anadolu" news agency, with the participation of the Kars State Emergency Department (AFAD) and some other structures, training exercises were held on the possible chemical, biological, radiological, and nuclear power plants of the Metsamor NPP located in the territory of the Republic of Armenia and 16 km from the Turkish border, in case of leakage.
According to the training scenario, a 7-point earthquake occurred near the Metsamor nuclear power plant, as a result of which a leak occurred and 20 residents of Aslahane, Kalakkale and Kyuchuk Akyuzum villages on the border were injured.
