"East-2022" military exercises will be held in Russia from August 30 to September 5. China, India, Belarus, Tajikistan, Mongolia, Russia, and other countries will participate in the exercises. This was reported by the "TASS" news agency, citing the statement of the Ministry of Defense of China.
"The Chinese side has sent personnel to participate in these exercises to deepen pragmatic and friendly cooperation with the armed forces of participating countries, increase the level of strategic coordination among all participating parties, and increase the ability to face various security threats," the Chinese side announced.
China's Ministry of Defense noted that "the exercises are not related to the current international and regional situation."
