Deputy Speaker of the National Assembly Ruben Rubinyan wrote on his social media page:
"The cousin of a Russian businessman today claimed that, allegedly, 5 days ago, Azerbaijan opened the Azerbaijani Theater in Yerevan."
The Russian businessman's team is lying: that theater was not opened 5 days ago; it has been operating in Baku since 1989 and received "state" status in Azerbaijan in 1994.
It also operated in 2008-2018, when the businessman's brother, that is, the cousin's father, was the head of the Republican Party of Armenia faction, Serzh Sargsyan's chief of staff, and a Republican Party MP. Still, he did not hide his identity on this topic.
Why are the Russian businessman's teammates lying like this? For a straightforward reason. They are playing on your fears. They want to devalue the peace that we have achieved with such great difficulty in every way.
"They want Armenia to continue to remain under blockade and impoverished, while they continue to get rich together with their old partners, Kocharyan and Sargsyan."
