Former member of the Supreme Council of Armenia and the National Assembly of the NKR, Vahram Atanesyan, wrote on his Facebook page:
"Who reported 'reliable information' from Turkey that the Catholicos of All Armenians will be 'appointed' by the Armenian Patriarch of Constantinople, Sahak Mashalyan? Dogu Perencik, the chairman of the ultra-nationalist party "Vatan", was sentenced to life imprisonment by Erdogan in 2008 as a "member of the deep government", then pardoned in 2014. He owns the Aydinlik newspaper, which published an article about the contradictions between the Armenian Apostolic Church and Pashinyan. Perinçek and Sinan Ogan, a Turkish political scientist, politician, and honorary professor of the Russian MGIMO, who is an ethnic Azerbaijani from Igdir, welcomed Russia's war against Ukraine. Perinçek stated that "the war of Russian weapons is always just, because it brings freedom and establishes stability everywhere."
It is known which Armenian media outlets reprinted Aydinlik's article. So they too welcome Russia's war against Ukraine. The war that led to the occupation and ethnic cleansing of Artsakh. This is what the hybrid war against Armenia is."
