Arman Babajanyan, the chairman of the "For the Republic" party, wrote on his Facebook page:
"In February 2026, US Vice President J.D. Vance will visit Armenia. This is not just an ordinary high-level visit: Washington is quickly moving towards implementing the August 8 agreements. Such visits are valuable for their concrete value. Armenia must present a clear, measurable package.
The first is investment projects for TRIPP infrastructure, including roads, logistics centers, warehousing, freight transportation, insurance, and the service economy.
The second is the rapid modernization of border and customs capabilities, including anti-smuggling systems, complete digitalization, cyber defense, and cargo transport control.
The third is legal guarantees: transparent contracts, independent oversight, risk mitigation, and balanced protection of the interests of the investor and the state.
American involvement is an opportunity to make Armenia a hub of communication, trust, and security. This can definitely be achieved with discipline, professionalism, and concreteness that protect the state's interests.
The main result of the US Vice President's visit should be not only the launch of programs, but also the message that, first and foremost, should be heard by the citizens of Armenia: our independence and sovereignty are not just a proclaimed idea, but a defended strategic choice.
Including in the person of the United States, that choice has real partners, tools, and measurable support to shape security, investments, and sustainable development."
