US special services in Yerevan are working on ensuring security for the visit. Babajanyan

Arman Babajanyan, the chairman of the “For the Republic” party, wrote on his Facebook page:

“A large US delegation will visit Armenia in January-February 2026, led by a high-ranking official, most likely to attend the TRIPP groundbreaking ceremony. At the moment, US special services in Yerevan are working to ensure the security and technical aspects of the official’s visit. This means Washington is not only announcing but also quickly moving toward implementing the August 8 agreements. The same pace, with measurable results, should also be observed on the Armenian side.

Such large-scale visits are notable not for the protocol events and photos, but for the specific proposals and the short- and medium-term strategic package that Armenia should present on the very first day of that visit. Clear investment projects for the development of TRIPP infrastructure and the supporting economy, rapid modernization of border and customs capabilities: anti-trafficking systems, digitalization, cyber defense, legal guarantees: transparent contracts, independent oversight, risk prevention, and most importantly, a business model where Armenia benefits from security, jobs, and sovereignty.

American involvement is an opportunity to make Armenia a hub of communication, trust, and security. But that opportunity does not “just happen”; it is prepared with discipline, professionalism, and specificity that protects the state’s interests.”
