The political technology mantra of "consensus" collapsed in the Vagharshapat election. Atanesyan

Vahram Atanesyan, former member of the Supreme Council of Armenia and the National Assembly of the NKR, wrote on his Facebook page:

“The political technology “consensus trick was first used in the 2020 presidential elections in Artsakh. All candidates were fighting to prevent Arayik Harutyunyan from being elected in one round. As a result, Stepanakert entered the war with catastrophic state-political disorganization and an almost inactionable governance system, which perhaps became the main reason for the defeat.

“Consensus -” technology was used in the elections in Gyumri: all forces did everything to prevent the KP candidate from winning. Vardan Ghukasyan promised to apply the precedent in the parliamentary elections and lead Armenia into the Russia-Belarus union state. In essence, it is a program to abort the Armenian-Azerbaijani and Armenian-Turkish settlement, to exclude the civilizational alternative of Armenia, and to limit the security and economic environment.

The importance of the Vagharshapat municipal election lies not so much in the victory of the KP candidate as in the collapse and devaluation of the “consensus -” political-technological mantra. Breaking the “consensus” political-technological matrix means choosing the agenda of peace and a new Armenia. It is the success of the government that places it under double responsibility. The test of peace is more complicated than that of war.
