Our state needs sober power, not show

The chairman of the “For the Republic” party, Arman Babajanyan, wrote on his Facebook page:

“A military parade does not add strength, only false pride. Our state needs sober strength, not a show of strength. A military parade is an expense without a result. With that money, one can strengthen the real capabilities of the army, support the wounded and the families of the dead, increase the salaries of teachers and soldiers, and develop technologies and the military industry.

The world has shown that victory is not written with parades. Germany and Japan, defeated in the war, never held a military parade. They chose reconstruction, science, disciplined work, and won with peace.

Victory should not be shown. Victory should be created with daily work, together.”
