Social spending tripled after the revolution. Tunyan

Babken Tunyan, Deputy Chairman of the NA Standing Committee on Economic Affairs, wrote on his Facebook page:

“The chart shows the allocations from the RA state budget for social benefits and pensions in 2015-2026.

  • In 2024, social expenditures exceeded 1 trillion drams for the first time.
  • For this year, according to the revised annual budget plan, it is planned to spend 1.1 trillion drams.
  • The draft state budget for 2026 plans to allocate about 1.3 trillion drams for social benefits and pensions.
  • Following the 2018 revolution, social expenditures have more than tripled.

Those people who declare from morning to night that nothing has been done in the social direction during these years would do well to familiarize themselves not only with the dynamics of recent years, but also with the data up to 2018.”
