Vahram Atanesyan, former member of the Supreme Council of Armenia and the National Assembly of the NKR, wrote on his Facebook page:
"What is the meaning of these information-propaganda skirmishes, the war of compromising materials? There is a factual situation: the government is moving towards signing a peace treaty with Azerbaijan and establishing relations with its neighbors on a new level. What does the opposition say?
Is it against that course? If so, then it should offer a conceptual alternative, substantiate it, and ensure public consolidation around its platform. What does the Mother See say? Is it against peace, and what does it propose instead? Let the Catholicos of All Armenians and the Great House of Cilicia present the citizens of Armenia and the Armenians around the world with a unified kondak.
Otherwise, there is a very stable impression that the opposition and the Church have only one problem: let the government do its job without interfering. "That much can be said in a confidential meeting with Nikol Pashinyan, to settle the issues of give-and-take and go through the houses. What is the need to put three million people in a state of demonic trance if neither the secular nor the spiritual opposition has a conceptual alternative to Pashinyan's foreign policy?"
